Frequently Asked Questions
New to CFE Fitness? Have some questions? Hopefully we can answer them here in our FAQs. If not, let us know. We’re happy to help!
Do I need to be in shape first?
We scale every workout to match your current abilities and will increase load as your fitness progresses. We hear this as a reason not to come to CFE more than anything else. If you can move, you are ready to come to CFE.
How long will it take (how many classes) until most people start seeing results?
Immediately. Once you start regular workouts you’ll feel the difference and never work out any other way.
Do I workout on my own or do I have a trainer?
You will have a trainer. At CFE, a trained and certified Coach leads each class. Training will be done in small groups; that is where the fun, competitiveness and camaraderie come from. A typical class includes a warm-up, a skill session, explanation of the WOD (Workout of the Day), examples and instruction of the movements and the actual workout.
How long is the average workout?
Classes are scheduled for 1 hour. This typically will include a warm-up, a skill session, explanation of the workout, examples and instruction of the movements, and the actual workout.
Are the workouts the same each week?
No. Our workouts are constantly varied and unique which helps to make sure that you always make progress. We have a huge number of exercises to choose from so working out here is never boring!
Is this a cardio program or a weightlifting program?
It’s both! We perform functional movements at high intensity, giving you a comprehensive full-body workout in under an hour. Classes are instructor-led and peer-driven, providing an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation.
Do you have showers?
Yes and we also have separate men’s and women’s changing rooms as well.
What hours are available?
Check out our class schedule. Our first class is at 6:00 AM and our last class is at 7:00PM on weekdays. We are also open on Saturdays. Personal training is offered throughout the day too.
What does it cost?
Come in for your FREE fitness assessment and we can discuss a plan that is right for you. We can also see if you are eligible for any discounts. We offer discounts for military, police, fire, students and teachers.
Is CrossFit for me?
CrossFit is for everyone from beginners, computer programmers, moms, seniors, college athletes to elite athletes – you name it! It does not matter what your current fitness level is. We welcome, encourage and give the average person and the elite athlete alike, the opportunity to do above-average things.
I don’t want to get too bulky. Will CrossFit add too much muscle?
CrossFit will increase lean body mass but not to the degree most people think. Since CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program, not a bodybuilding program, your results will be a leaner, more toned version of yourself.
