The Healing Power of A Good Night’s Sleep

You may already know that a good night’s sleep can leave you clear headed and happier in the morning. But did you know that sleep also helps your muscles heal and grow? During the restorative non-REM sleep, increased blood flow to your muscles deliver an influx of oxygen and nutrients. New cells are regenerated while the muscles and tissues are rejuvenated! This deep sleep also triggers hormones that boost muscle mass. So set up a sleep routine (and turn off those screens at least an hour before bed time), and aim for getting seven to nine hours of sleep per night.
